W... W... W... Wednesdays ~ July 24, 2013

W... W... W... Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should be Reading. To play along, just answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you'll read next?

What am I currently reading? I am reading Dancing With Paris by Juliette Sobanet. So far I'm really enjoying it! It's like a time travel, mystery romance.

What did I recently finish reading?
I finished reading From This Day Forward - The Darcys of Pemberley by Joana Starnes. I had a hard time getting into this story. My review will be up in a couple of weeks.

What do I think I'll be reading next? I have a couple of books I would like to get to this week. Mr. Darcy's Promise by Jeanna Ellsworth and Atone: A Fairytale by Jessica Grey. I am really looking forward to both! Mr. Darcy's Promise is a P&P variation - I  always love those! Atone is a modern retelling of Beauty and the Beast! I mean, who doesn't love that! Plus, I love Jessica's writing style!

What are you reading?

  2. Let's see... as you know, the last book I read was Mr Darcy's Noble Connections. Next up will be Pirates and Prejudice and Kathy Love's Fangs for Nothing (She writes paranormal romance - more emphasis on romance and humor than paranormal. A lot of her stories are "comfort reads" for me that I've read a million times).

I read the first few chapters of From This Day Forward on Dwiggie. I was intrigued and would've liked to read the rest; however, there was a lot going on, a lot of new characters being introduced, and the language was a tad thick (I really don't know how to describe it) etc. I was worried that I might get bogged down with it. I look forward to your review. I have the other two Paris books by Juliette Sobanet on my kindle but haven't read them yet.

    1. Hi Monica! I should give "Fangs For Nothing" a try. I'm not big in the paranormal, but it sounds like I might enjoy this one! Pirates and Prejudice should be a good read for you.

Yeah, I don't know if it was me, but I just couldn't get into FTDF. Your right about all the new characters, it was mind boggling. I'm still not sure if I remember everyone. I'm terrible with names anyway! Haha!

  3. My favorite of Kathy Love's books are her New Orleans series: Any Way You Want It, I Want You to Want Me, and Demon Can't Help It. Her New York series is good too. If you read them all you'll notice they all have kind of a similar theme but I love the characters.
