What are you Reading? ~ Feb. 25, 2015

Hey Everyone! Oh, man, I haven't been posting anything but my Wednesday meme lately! Sorry about that. Life kind of got in the way... But tomorrow, I'll be posting my review of The Secret of Pembrooke Park. I'm part of the Blog Tour for the book, so check that out!

"What are you Reading?" is a weekly meme hosted by me! If you'd like to join me, answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you'll be reading next?

What am I currently reading? I'm currently reading
Green Card by Elizabeth Adams. I'm loving it! I see some parallels to Pride and Prejudice here!! It's really captured my attention, and I want to keep reading it! It's a long one though...566 pages! At this point, I'm about half way through.   I can see now that Elizabeth Adam's book, The Houseguest, a Pride and Prejudice variation, which I bought back in May, is going to move to the top of my TBR pile!

What did I recently finish reading?  I finished Obsidian (A Lux Novel Book 1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout. It was really good. There are, I think, five books in this series, and I hope to get around to reading all of them...eventually. :)

What do I think I'll be reading next? Next up is Seeker by Arwen Elys Dayton. I requested this book from NetGalley. It's a dystopia/fantasy/sci-fi. I'm looking forward to reading it! I love the cover!

  1. I haven't heard of Green Card but I'll have to take a look at it. I just finished If I Stay which I did not enjoy. I didn't connect with any of the characters. I just started Big Little Lies and then I plan on reading Haunting Mr. Darcy. I'm probably the last one who hasn't read it yet!!:)

    1. Hi Kelli! My daughter has 'If I Stay', and I was going to read it. Hmm, it's too bad you didn't enjoy it. :/ That makes me wonder if I will. I don't think I've heard of 'Big Little Lies'. Oh! I think you're going to love Haunting Mr. Darcy!!! Yes, check out 'Green Card,' and I hear good things about 'The Houseguest!'

    2. I know a lot of people really liked 'If I Stay' but it just didn't work for me. It could have been because I had just finished 'Me Before You' by Jojo Moyes and I absolutely LOVED it! Sometimes it's hard to compete when you've just finished a wonderful book. Have you read 'Me Before You'?

    3. No I haven't heard of 'Me Before You' I'll have to look that one up! True, it's hard to stand against a book you just read and loved! Or if you are expecting too much from a book - then it just falls flat. If I ever get around to reading it, I'll let you know what I thought. :)

  2. I didn't know about Green Card. I'll have to check it out. But oys...that many pages is a challenge these days.

I've read all, but the last of the Luxen books. Those cliffhangers really kept me anxious each year for the next release.

I'm reading a KA Tucker, Becoming Rain, right now.

    Happy reading!

    1. Hi Sophia Rose! I looked up 'Becoming Rain' and I read the blurb for the first in the series. It looks really good! How are you liking the second, 'Becoming Rain'?

Have you read 'The Houseguest' by Elizabeth Adams? 'Green Card' is fairly new...published in Dec. '14. I think you would enjoy it!

      Happy reading to you too!

  3. Let's see, I am currently reading the A Fair Prospect trilogy by Cassandra Grafton. I'm only about 6 percent in so it's hard to judge but I'm hoping the action will pick up more as it goes along.

I just finished The Darcy Brothers, which I loved! But I pretty much already knew I would. I also read PO Dixon's Only a Heartbeat Away, which I wasn't crazy about. Also read Haunting Mr Darcy which was fab!

Next up, who knows? lol I still need to read Emma, but I also want to mix it up and choose something modern or paranormal or something non-JAFF.

    1. Hey Monica! I hope you like the 'A Fair Prospect" trilogy! I keep hearing good things about 'The Darcy Brothers' - seems everyone loves it! I'm going to have to add it to my TBR pile! I loved 'Haunting Mr. Darcy' too! I can't believe you haven't read 'Emma' yet!! Lol! But I know what you mean about mixing it up a bit. I have to do that, too.
