What are you Reading? ~ May 25, 2016

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Here's my list:

Now: I'm just starting Lady Susan by Jane Austen. I hope to join the discussion with the Austenesque Lovers TBR Pile Reading Challenge group, but we have company coming this weekend so I don't know how much computer time I'll have.

I finished reading Scarlett Epstein Hates it Here by Anna Breslaw. I really loved this quirky story!

What's next? I'm not sure.

I'm linking up with This Week In Books hosted by Lipsyy Lost & Found.

Check out what she's reading!

This week I spent more time sewing than reading!  I broke out my sewing machine and worked on a few projects. I made a couple of baby blankets, a big slouch bag, and some flannel PJ bottoms.

How about you? Reading anything or working on any projects?

  1. Oh yay, glad you're getting to Lady Susan! She's a corker. No worries if you don't have time to comment this weekend. The discussions will stay up all year. :)

I was curious about the Scarlet Epstein book. Quirky sounds fun.

Your slouchy bag is so colorful and summer. Very nice.

At the moment, I'm reading Trudy Brasure's North & South variation, In Consequence. My only projects at the moment are helping my blogging partner setting up posts for our big summer event. :) I'm not allowed in my garden until the poison ivy rash is gone. Haha!

    1. Hi, Sophia Rose! Great! I'll try to chime in when I can. :)

Oh, yes! I was surprised by Scarlet Epstein. It was an Uppercase book, so not one I picked out for myself. It was funny and sad. At first I wasn't sure if I would like it. The main character, Scarlet, spends a lot of time online and uses a lot of acronyms (that I would forget and would have to go back to remember! lol!), but then I got into the story and loved it. Along with what was going on in her real life, Scarlet also wrote fanfiction. So, that was cool, too!

Oh, my! I did see that you had gotten into some poison ivy! Eww! I hope you are not too uncomfortable! Get well soon!

I've not read North & South, but I think I would like it. I'm sure a variation of it would be awesome too! Enjoy!
