What Are You Reading? ~ July 25, 2018

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Here's my list:

I'm currently reading The Hitman's Mistake by Sally Brandle. I'm really enjoying it! I'm hosting the author tomorrow. I hope you can stop by!

I'm also reading The Jane Austen Project by Kathleen A Flynn. I'm enjoying this time-travel book about a couple of researchers who travel back to meet Jane in hopes of finding an unpublished novel of hers and to find out why she died an early death. It's very interesting how once they get back to 1815 they have to set themselves up with housing, clothing, try to enter society and make friends with Henry Austen to meet Jane herself!

Sadly, I didn't finish anything this week.

What's next? I still hope to read The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken.

  1. I feel bad, am I the only person not in love with Jane Austen? Do you think this book would help me become an Austen lover?

    1. Lol, Molly! I'm sure you're not alone, but for the life of me, I don't know why you wouldn't love Jane Austen! ;) I'm not sure if this book would help, but if you like Regency and time-travel stories you might like this one! I've enjoyed that they didn't just drop into the perfect setting. They've had to work to get set up, with the fear that they may get caught as imposters! I'm only a third of the way through at this point, but it's good!

      Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Ooh, I'm hoping to reread The Darkest Minds soon! I want the story fresh in my mind before the movie adaptation releases!

Also, the Jane Austen Project sounds really interesting!

    1. Hi, Keri! Yes! I want to read Darkest Minds before I see the movie. I've had the book sitting on my shelf for a couple of years, now it's a rush to read it! Lol!

Yes, The Jane Austen Project is interesting! I'm looking forward to getting back into it! (I'm not good about reading two books at a time! I tend to stick to just one. Lol!)

  3. I bought The Jane Austen Project last year, and it's been hanging out on my shelf since ... I really need to dig in, because the idea is so fascinating! (Silly library books keep taking over, oops, haha)

    1. Lol, Rebecca! I totally know what you mean! I bought JA Project almost a year ago, and I'm finally reading it! Sometimes I wonder why I buy books to just sit on the shelf! ;) It's so good to see you here! Have a great week!
