W... W... W... Wednesdays ~ October 16, 2013

W... W... W... Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should be Reading. To play along, just answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you'll be reading next?

What am I currently reading? I am currently reading The Road to You by Marilyn Brant. I'm loving it! Aurora and Donovan are on the road trying to find their brothers who disappeared two years ago. Set in the late 70s, in a time before cell phones and household computers. When you were out on the road you had to use a road map, and when you wanted to make a call you had to use a payphone! I'm really enjoying this coming-of-age romantic mystery!

What did I recently finish reading? I finished reading Weak at the Knees by Jo Kessel. It was pretty good. I'll have a review up in a couple weeks. I also finished Darkness falls upon Pemberley by Susan Adriani. It was a quick read. I read it in one sitting. It is a novella, but it left me wanting a bit more. I love the cover though!

What do I think I'll be reading next? I have Project Darcy by Jane Odiwe up next. I'm totally excited to read this story! It's the second book in the Time Travels with Jane Austen series! Fun!

What are you reading? I'd love to hear from you!

  4. I read The Road to You yesterday and loved it! It kept me guessing the entire time. I also read some historical/paranormal stories by Lori Brighton last weekend: A Night of Forever and A Night of Secrets. I liked the former quite a bit better; it was shorter but also less repetitive. I also read Forevermore by Lauren Royal; a short and very sweet novella with a hint of Cinderella, that made me want to read the rest of the Jewel series.

Up next for me will be Lady in Red by Máire Claremont. I'm trying to prepare myself because I know it's going to be all dark and gritty like her first book! (Which I did enjoy though). After that, who knows. I really should be doing less reading & more packing for my move to SC next month but I can't help it! lol

    1. Hi Monica! I wish I could read The Road to You straight through!! I've just been too busy. Last night I couldn't even start reading until midnight, and I read for about an hour and a half. Didn't get very far, mostly because I was trying to stay awake! When I finally went to bed I couldn't fall asleep. I keep thinking about what's going on. It's definitely keeping me guessing, too! ;)

      You're moving??

  5. Yeah, as much as I love it up here in Kentucky (and all my friends are here) I've decided to move back to SC to be close to my family again. I came up here to go to college and ended up staying 10+ yrs! lol

    1. Wow, Monica! That's a pretty big move. It's hard leaving friends, but it's nice being closer to family. It's amazing how many people have moved in the past year!
