W... W... W... Wednesdays ~ Nov. 26, 2014

W...W... W... Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should be Reading. To play along, just answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you'll read next?

What am I currently reading? I'm currently reading Holidays with Jane: Christmas Cheer by Jennifer Becton, Jessica Grey, Cecilia Gray, Melissa Buell, Kimberly Truesdale and Rebecca M. Fleming. I am loving these short stories! It's so perfect for this time of year! I started this book a couple of weeks ago, but could only pick it up now and then. I'm on the last two stories. The first four were wonderful! Jennifer Becton's modern Persuasion, The Work of an Instant, was perfect! Including Captain Wentworth's letter. *sigh* I also LOVE Rebecca's modern Sense and Sensibility called A Tale of Three Christmases. It was beautiful and very touching! Ok, ok, I could go on, but I'll save it for the review. Let's just say I loved them all, and have the feeling the last two won't disappoint!

What did I recently finish reading? I finished reading The Heart of Christmas (Whiskey Creek Book 7) by Brenda Novak. Fun read! You can read my review here.

What do I think I'll read next? I plan on reading The Muse by Jessica Evans. I'm looking forward to this modern Pride and Prejudice Variation! Where Elizabeth's a ballerina and she's dancing in Darcy's (who is a choreographer) newest show! What could go wrong there?!

What are you reading? I'd love to hear!!

    1. Hi Lisa! Yes, The Muse does sound interesting! I'm eager to get started on it!

I don't read many short stories, but I probably should since my reading time is becoming more limited.

      Thanks for stopping by!!

  5. I am very impressed that one of the stories in Holidays with Jane managed to update Captain Wentworth's letter in a sigh-worthy form! It's just so perfect and beautiful, that although I love to see it included in modern updates it usually feels a little flat.

I am between books at the minute, have recently finished The Falmouth Connection by Joana Starnes, which I loved, next planned read for me will probably be Mr Darcy's Christmas Calendar by Jane Odiwe. I really fancy reading The Muse, it looks so good! I'm looking forward to seeing your review of it.

    1. Hi Ceri! Oh, I so agree! Jennifer did a fabulous job on that letter! I think it would be hard to modernize a letter like that, but Jennifer nailed it!

I've been seeing The Falmouth Connection around. It seems everyone is loving it. I may have to read it! :)
