What are you Reading? is my weekly Wednesday meme! You are welcome to join me, just answer the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you plan on reading next?
What am I currently reading? I'm currently reading Daisies Are Forever by Liz Tolsma. I think I'm on a WWII kick! It's interesting to get another look at the war from an American/German woman and an escaped British POW who are trying to get out of Germany before the Russians invade. They are being heavily bombed and shot at by Russian aircraft. So far it's good.
What did I recently finish reading? I finished reading Code Name Verity by Elizabeth E. Wein. Wow! What an amazing story! It's about a girl, she's a secret agent, who is captured and interrogated by the Gestapo during WWII. This historical fiction is more than just a WWII story, it's a story about courage and friendship. I would really encourage you to read this one!
What do I plan on reading next? Again, I'm not sure. There is so much happening in my life right now that it's hard to know what I will feel like reading. I do have Emma Knows All by Laura Briggs and Sarah Burgess that I need to read and review, so maybe I'll read that one. It looks like a fun modern retelling of Emma by Jane Austen!

What are you reading? I'd love to hear!
I am always amazed at your variety, Candy. I recently read Victoria Kincaid's latest "Mr. Darcy to the Rescue". I laughed out loud in several places and enjoyed it from cover to cover.
ReplyDeleteHi, Joy! Yes, I do like to read a variety of books! :) Oh, good! I'm glad to hear 'Mr. Darcy to the Rescue' is a fun read! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteYour selections look great. I'm stuck with P&P for the moment. Just did a whirlwind read on AHA of Juliecoops "How to Save a Life." Currently reading "Mr. Darcy's Rival" by Kara Louise and waiting to get in the mail "A Will of Iron" by Linda Beutler. Other than that, it's my own stuff that I keep re-reading & editing.
ReplyDeleteHi, Jen Red! How did you like "How to Save a Life"? Is it only available online? Oh! I loved "Mr. Darcy's Rival"! I hope you are enjoying it, too! Good luck on your own stuff! That's so exciting! Thanks for stopping by! :)
