The Little Women Devotional by Rachel Dodge ~ Spotlight!

Happy first day of March! Also, happy release day for The Little Women Devotional by Rachel Dodge! Yay!

I’m very excited to read this devotional! I try to make it a practice to read the word of God daily, and I love it when it’s combined with great literature!

The Little Women Devotional

Devotional Inspiration from the Lives of Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy

The Little Women Devotional offers lovely inspiration that explores the themes of faith, family, contentment, wisdom, and joy in the classic Louisa May Alcott novel, cherished by generations of readers.

Each reading corresponds with a chapter from the book and invites you to embrace God’s guiding hand in your life as His cherished daughter. This beautiful chapter-by-chapter devotional includes original artwork throughout, and each reading includes examples from the novel, scripture, life application, and prayers perfect for groups, book clubs, or personal reflection.

This is Dodge’s third devotional she’s written. The first, Praying with Jane: 31 Days through the Prayers of Jane Austen (link to my blog post). I loved reading through Jane’s prayers and how Rachel combined them with scripture and Austen’s novels!

The second is The Anne of Green Gables Devotional: A Chapter-by-Chapter Companion for Kindred Spirits. I still need to grab a copy of this one, but I’m sure it’s good!

What Are You Reading? ~ Oct. 17, 2018

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Well, I've not been reading very much lately, and that is why I've only been posting this post every other week. There is a good reason for this though, I have been spending more time with my teenage kids! We've gotten into the habit of watching shows together every night before we go to bed (my usual reading time), but I'm not going to complain! I value this time. :)

Here's my list:

I'm currently reading Summer of Scandal by Syrie James. I am loving it! I'm enjoying the characters! Madelina and Charles definitely belong together!

I recently finished Dark Desires by Eve Silver. This gothic tale was a perfect read for October! A romantic Victorian mystery!

What's next? I've always wanted to read Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, and what a better time that it's 200 year birthday!  I've linked to the Uncensored 1818 Edition.

What Are You Read? ~ February 15th, 2017

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Here's my list:

Currently: I'm just a few pages into Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, so I don't have much of an opinion of it yet.

Yes! After reading 50 pages here and 100 pages there, I finally finished reading A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin! Lol! I want to start the next book soon, and I'll probably read it at the same pace.

I also finished reading Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowel. I loved it! It was a quick read for me, finishing the same day I started it.

What's next? I'm not sure right now. Maybe something for my Austenesque Lovers Reading Challenge. :)
