What Are You Reading? ~ April 3, 2018

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Here's my list:

I'm currently reading Blood Red Road (Dust Lands #1) by Moira Young. I'm enjoying this one! It took a minute to get used to the dialect in the story and the way the author doesn't use any quotations around the dialogue. Other than that, the story is moving along quickly! :)

I recently finished reading Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini. It was really good! The middle was kind of slow, but to be fair, I've been suffering from a lot of headaches lately and haven't wanted to read. The ending was exciting and left me wanting more, so I bought the next book in the series!

What's next? I plan to read Dear Sir, Dear Madam: A Pride and Prejudice Novella by Mary Lydon Simonsen.

  1. Sorry to hear about your headaches, Candy. Glad Blood Red Road is turning out good. I'm reading Southern Discomfort, a cozy mystery, right now.

    1. Hey, Sophia Rose! Thanks! I don't usually suffer from headaches this much. :/ I think it's my sinuses.

Enjoy Southern Discomfort! It sounds cute. It's funny "a cozy mystery" - to think of a mystery as cute and cozy! ;)

  2. Okay, my original comment was a bit wordy...LOL. Good luck with Blood Red Road, which does sound like a challenge. I don't do well when the author doesn't use quotation marks...and trying to decipher a dialect can also be tedious.

Thanks for sharing...and here's MY WWW POST

    1. Hello, Laurel-Rain! Lol! That's okay! The dialect is not that bad and it was easy to get into the flow, but I don't think I've ever read a book that the author didn't use quotation marks. It's weird.

Thanks for stopping by! I'll pop over to see your post.

    1. Hello, Jenn! It was! I'm looking forward to the next book! I am feeling better. Headaches aren't so bad now. I just don't like to take meds, so I suffer a little more than I should. :/

Thanks for stopping by! I left a comment at your post but I don't see it. I'll look again in a bit...maybe you have to approve it. I don't want to leave a double comment! :)
