What are you Reading? ~ Feb. 4, 2015

"What are you Reading?" is a weekly meme hosted by Candy @ So little time...! If you'd like to join me, answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you'll be reading next?

What am I currently reading?  I've just started Girl, Stolen by April Henry. I needed a change of pace, and I think this will do the trick! Plus, I'll get to check one off my TBR pile!

What did I recently finish reading? I finished reading The Secret of Pembrooke Park by Julie Klassen. Ooh! Great read! Spooky Gothic mystery and lovely romance! I'll have my review posted during The Secret of Pembrooke Park Blog Tour

What do I think I'll be reading next? My plan is to read The Twelve-Step Plan by Erin Brady. I am looking forward to reading this one! Erin Brady's books are always fun to read!

  1. Hi Candy! I just finished reading 'The Darcy Brothers' which was very good. Next read for me will be the Secret of Pembrooke Park, which I'm reading for the same blog tour that you are taking part in. I'm glad to hear it's a good read :) I don't think I've read anything by Erin Brady, I'll have to check her stuff out. Enjoy your reading!

    1. Hi Ceri! I'm glad you like The Darcy Brothers! I haven't read that one. Did you read it to review for the Darcy Brothers Blog Tour? I hope you enjoy The Secret of Pembrooke Park too! Oh, Erin's stories are romantic-comedies. I enjoy them!

I hope you are recovering well!

    2. Yes, my review will be posted on Leatherbound Reviews next week, so I plan to finish it today.

My recovery is going ok so far, but it's going to be a long road, I'm sorry to say.

    3. Just curious, why are you posting on LR instead of your own? I'm glad you doing well, but so sorry it's going to take a while to get back to normal. Take care!

    4. I've done a few reviews for Jakki. I think she has less time to read than me, particularly at the moment! Hope you have a wonderful weekend :)

  2. I really want to read some Julie Klassen - is there one of her books that I should read first, or does it not really matter?

I just started reading Haunting Mr Darcy, which I've been wanting to read for The Longest Time! I'm only about 5 percent thru it. Next I'll be reading The Darcy Brothers for Austenprose (which I'm honestly really freakin nervous about! - the review, not the book lol) I read it when it was a WIP so I already know I'll like it. After that, who knows. I keep wanting to find some non-Austen to read, maybe something paranormal, but I just don't know what.

    1. Hi Monica! This is only the second Klassen book I've read. I think they are all stand-alones, at least the ones I've read. I read The Silent Governess years ago. I think I have The Apothecary's Daughter on my kindle that I need to read.

I think you will love Haunting Mr. Darcy! I did!

Oh!! That's wonderful! I think you'll do a fabulous job writing a review for The Darcy Brothers! I love your reviews. That so awesome you're writing for Austenprose! Congrats!

That's how I was feeling when I picked up Girl, Stolen. I just needed to veer off for a bit.

    2. I love your reviews too Monica, you will be fine I'm sure, though I can understand the nerves!

Funnily enough. Candy, the Klassen I've got lined up to read is my second of hers, the first one I read was The Silent Governess, the same as you.

  3. Wow, Candy! These choices really seem all over the place. Are you taking a break from JAFF? I also have one of Julie Klassen's books on my Kindle, but I've not read it yet. I keep wanting to and will get to it one day.

Congrats, Monica on the opportunity to write a review for Laurel Ann. Does she go by both names? I've never asked. You will do well. I have 100% confidence in you and deeply appreciate your POV.

    1. Hi Joy! I've found I like a variety of different reading! I'm not really taking a break from JAFF, I just realized I needed to mix it up more often. I did slow down quite a bit though.

  4. A Klassen novel is next on my list. I think I may be the last one who hasn't read anything by her. Of course I own all of them but her two most recent books...I told you I had a problem! Can't wait to read your review!!:)

    1. Hi Kelli! Which Klassen novel are you planning on reading?

Oh! I'm with you! I keep buying new books (or I get them for free), and never read them! My Kindle is so full!

      Happy Reading!

    2. I just started The Tutor's Daughter, which was the one a friend recommend I start with. Have you read it? So far I like it but I'm only on chapter 4!
