What Are You Reading? ~ May 3, 2017

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

I didn't post last week because nothing much changed from the week before. I was sucked into the show "13 Reasons Why" and I also volunteered at the LA Festival of Books. :) So, reading kinda fell by the wayside.

Here's my list:

I'm currently reading Autumn in the City of Angels by Kirby Howell. I'm loving it! Right from the beginning, it sucked me in! Fun fact: I met the authors of this series at the Festival and got a signed copy! Actually, I bought the whole series. :) So, I'm glad I enjoying this first one!
I recently finished Leap of Hope by Shannon Winslow. I really enjoy this! I loved that Hope decided to go to 1809 to live! It was fun to see all the nods to Austen's books.  I'm looking forward to reading Leap of Faith the first in the series!

I also finished reading Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. Loved it!! I started listening to it while I was working out, but I ended up finishing by reading it. I find I can get into a story more by reading it than listening to it.

What's next? I'm not sure. I might continue with the Autumn series.

Here are a couple pictures from the Book Festival.

I was an author escort for this lovely lady, Lisa See!

At The Last Bookstore with Meredith, Dung & Me!

The weekend before the Festival, I met my friend, Meredith from Austenesque Reviews for the first time in person!

I had a very busy April!

So, tell me, what are you reading?

  3. Neat that you got to volunteer at the book festival and meet authors and also other Janeites. Loved seeing that you, Dung, and Meredith had a chance to catch up.

Glad your recent books have all be really good. I'm listening to a sci-fi, The Myridian by RM Meluch and getting ready to start reading My Jane Austen Summer by Cindy Jones.

    1. Hi-ya, Sophia Rose! It was fun volunteering! Dung asked me to volunteer with her, she's done it for the past couple of years. I'm so glad she did! I would definitely do it again. And I'm soooo glad to have met Meredith! Awesome!

The Myridian looks fun! I see on Goodreads that you enjoyed it! That's good. I hope you like My Jane Austen Summer! I haven't read that one.

Thanks for stopping by! I was away for a long weekend, or I would have replied sooner! :)
