What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finished reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Happy Wednesday, friends!

Here's my list:

Currently Reading:

I'm slowly reading The Annotated Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and David M. Shapard. So much good stuff in here!

Recently Finished:

I finished reading Alive (Sundown Series Book 3) by Courtney Konstantin. I loved it! This third book explains how the virus that turns people into zombies started. I certainly hope there will be a fourth book. I would like to know more about what happens to the Duncans and if a cure is discovered!

What's next?

I'm not sure, but I picked up a new book at the LA Times Festival of Books that I'm excited to read called Brightly Burning by Alexa Donne. It's a Jane Eyre retelling set in space!

  1. A Jane Eyre in space? Oooh, I like that idea. I'll have to look it up. Glad you enjoyed your third zombie story and are making great progress on P&P. I'm in the middle of paranormal cozy mystery, The Mint Julep Murders by Angie Fox.

    1. Hello, Sophia Rose! Yes, isn't that intriguing! Alexa's next novel is a Persuasion retelling also set in space! They both sound fun to me! Dung and I were the author escorts for the YA panel Alexa Donne was on. It was fantastic talking to her as we walked her back to the green room.

Oh, The Mint Julep Murders sounds like a hoot! I hope you enjoy it! As always, thanks for stopping by!

  2. Hi Candy! I've been having a dreadful year for reading. I seem to be always so tired that I don't have the mental energy to read. That JE book sounds excellent though, I've added it to my wishlist!

    1. Oh, Ceri, sorry to hear that. Hopefully, your energy level comes back up soon. I know what you mean though, I had some headaches in Feb. and March that slowed me down!

Yes, doesn't Brightly Burning sound great! and I'm looking forward to her next book, The Stars We Steal, which is a Persuasion retelling! Thanks for stopping by, Ceri!
