What Are You Reading? ~ Oct 18, 2017

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Wow! It's been a while since I've posted my Wednesday meme! I've been super busy, but I'm back! :)

Here's my list:

I'm currently reading The Goodness of Men by Anngela Schroeder. I'm enjoying it! I'm only about a quarter through so I can't really say too much  yet.

I recently finished Anyone? by Angela Scott. Loved it! I love post-apocalyptic/survival stories, and this was a good one.

I also finished A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin! Yay! Oh, but man, it dropped a bomb on the last page! So, now I want to jump into the next book. Haha! I was going to take a break from the series.

And before that, I finished These Dreams: A Pride & Prejudice Variation by Nicole Clarkson. This was really good too - intense with a lot of angst! Also, it's a long book at 732 pages.

What's next? I'm not sure, but I'll let you know! ;)

I was at the JASNA AGM earlier this month. You can see my pictures on So little time's Facebook page! It was a blast!

I hurt my back on Monday. :( I can't sit at my desk for too long. I've been laying on a heating pad for two days now, but I am feeling much better. I'm going to keep resting it. Have a great week!

So, tell me, what are you reading?

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Whoa! I didn't realize it was Wednesday! I almost forgot to post. Lol!

Here's my list:

I've just started These Dreams: A Pride & Prejudice Variation by Nicole Clarkston. After reading the excerpt from my stop on These Dreams Blog Tour (there's a giveaway if you're interested), I knew I had to read this story. So, I started reading it as soon as I got a copy! I'm enjoying it so far! :)

I'm happy to report I'm about 70% through A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin. It's very good, although quite long, and I'm not a fast reader.

Sadly, I didn't finish any books this week.

What's next? I'm thinking about Vassa in the Night by Sarah Porter.

What Are You Reading? ~ Sept. 6, 2017

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Here's my list:

I'm currently reading The Journey Home by Karen M. Cox. This novella is a quick read! I'm enjoying hearing Georgiana's story.

I put a pretty good dent in A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin. I'm halfway through now. It's still not much different than the show. I do like that I'm getting more details from the book though.

Haven't finished anything recently.

What's next? I may reread 1932 by Karen M. Cox. It's been a long time since I've read it, and seeing little bits of Darcy and Elizabeth in The Journey Home has me wanting to read it again! I love the time period it's set in.

What Are You Reading? ~ August 23, 2017

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Here's my list:

I haven't made any progress on A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin this week.

I just finished Sweet by Emmy Laybourne. After finishing Emmy's Monument 14 series, I wanted to jump into Sweet to see if I liked it as well. I bought Sweet soon after it came out, and it's been sitting on my shelf ever since! Why do we buy books and then take so long to read them?!

Sweet is a story about a new sweetener that is about to come on the market. The week before its release, the company hosts a cruise, and everyone on board gets to be the first to try the product. It helps you lose weight very quickly, but the side effect is deadly -- turning the passengers into crazy, zombie-like creatures! 4/5 stars

I also finished Sky on Fire and Savage Drift (both Monument 14) by Emmy Laybourne this week. They were as good or better the second time around!

What's next? I really want to get to The Journey Home by Karen M Cox! This is a side-sequel, novella to Karen's 1932, Pride and Prejudice retelling set in the Great Depression. It's Georgiana's story.

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Here's my list:

Due to an unexpected trip, I wasn't able to read much of A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin as I hoped.

But, as I was driving, I relistened to Monument 14 by Emmy Laybourne. It's such a great story! I really love it.

I'm currently re-reading Sky on Fire (Monument 14, #2) by Emmy Laybourne. I got a little more than halfway through on my trip back home, so now I'm continuing to read it in book form. Still loving it!

What's next? Well, I'll probably re-read Savage Drift (Monument 14, #3) by Emmy Laybourne to finish the series.

Then I hope to start The Journey Home by Karen M Cox.

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Here's my list:

I'm back into A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin. I hope to make some good progress this week.

I recently finished reading Modern Love by Beau North. I had a hard time getting into this, and until I got to know the characters, I would get confused at who's POV the chapter was coming from. Slowly I got into it, and the ending was great!

What's next? I have The Journey Home by Karen M Cox to review, so hopefully, I'll read that! :)

What Are You Reading? ~ August 2, 2017

I just returned from my vacation! I traveled across the country on the train, from the west coast to the east coast and back again. In between, I spent a week with family. I had a fantastic time! Plus, I was able to get a couple of books read!

What Are You Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Here's my list:

I'm currently reading Modern Love by Beau North. I'm not very far into it yet, but so far so good. :)

I recently finished The Ugly Stepsister by Aya Ling. This was a fun time-travel, fairy-tale retelling. I began listening to the audio book on my last road trip and finished reading it on the train.

I also finished The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen. I loved the secondary characters in this story! It was good, but it's not my favorite Dessen story.

Plus, I read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. Always a good read!

What's next? I hope to get back into A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin.

What Are You Reading? ~ July 19, 2017

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Here's my list:

I'm just starting my re-read of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. I'm enjoying taking my time and savoring this second time through the series.

I'm still reading A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin. I'm moving through this book much quicker than the last. It doesn't seem as wordy as the first two, but still, it's so long! Even though I'm enjoying it, I'm setting it aside for a bit to read some other stories.

Oh! I who loved the first show of season 7??

I haven't finished anything recently. :(

What's next? I'm planning on reading The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen.

What Are You Reading? ~ July 5, 2017

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

My outdoor work project is finished, so I'm back to sleeping in and doing craftsy type projects inside. But, wow, I burned through quite a few audio books while painting the house! Nice!

Here's my list:

I started A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin last night. I got into this book much quicker than the last. I know I probably won't read it straight through and will pick up another book or two before I finish it. I'm looking forward to the new season starting this month on HBO! Woot!

I'm also halfway through an audio book, The Ugly Stepsister by Aya Ling. I'm not sure when I'll get back to this. Maybe while I do some sewing? We'll see. I've been enjoying it though. It's really good!

I recently finished re-reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling. I enjoy this so much more the second time! I think because I wasn't rushing through it to get to the others. :)

I also finished listening to Rumours & Recklessness: A Pride and Prejudice Variation by Nicole Clarkston. I love this story. While Mr. Bennet lay in a coma, Mr. Collins decides to propose to Elizabeth in front of Darcy! Well, Darcy can not tolerate the thought and claims Elizabeth is already engaged to him ...and so the story begins!

What's next? I want to read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling.
