March Book Haul!

Hey there! I haven't done a book haul in awhile. So... I thought I would! :)

I had a fantastic month!

For review:

Won:

Courtesy of both authors above and Austen Admires!

I took pictures of the books I won because of the fun extras they sent with them. Check out the sealed letter addressed to Miss Jane Austen from Darcy! Check out the wax seal. I can't bring myself to break the seal and open it.

When I opened the package send by Melania A Schertz, I not only had the two books I won but I bonus book The Wrong Arrangement and a very cool Lover's Embrace Amulet! I'm a little late posting this March Haul Book because I was waiting for this package. It was late getting here because the original package of two books was mauled by a friendly but active black lab.

It was an amazing month!

Thank you!

Meryton Press will be at LA Festival of Books!

Hey Everyone!!  I'm so excite about this! The Los Angeles Festival of Books is April 20-21, 2013!

Book Festivals are so fun! I love walking around looking at books and meeting authors. But what's most exciting for me is that Meryton Press will have a booth set up! With a couple of their authors!

Two that should be there are:

Karen M Cox, author of 1932 and Find Wonder in All Things.

Gail McEwen, co-author of Twixt Two Equal Armies, Love Then Begins, and The West Yet Glimmers and author of ...To End All Wars.

They should also have copies of C. P. Odom's new book, A Most Civil Proposal. (my review)

The Meryton Press booth will be set up in the "Gold" area, booth 153.

I'm looking forward to a wonderful time meeting some of my favorite authors and publisher! So, if you are in or around the LA area, this is an event you won't want to miss!

Maybe I'll see you there!

W... W... W... Wednesdays

W... W... W... Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should be Reading. To play along, just answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you'll read next?

What am I currently-reading?  Currently I'm in between books. I need to work on some reviews. I hope to start reading tonight, Scorned Justice by Margaret Daley.

What did I recently finish reading? I just finished reading When They Fall in Love by Mary Lydon Simonsen. It was like taking a tour of Italy along with Darcy and Elizabeth!

What do I think I'll be reading next? I think I'll be reading A Fair Prospect: Disappointed Hopes by Cassandra Grafton.

What are you reading?

Review: At Fault by J.W. Becton

Yay!  At Fault, the third installment of Becton’s Southern Fraud Thriller series is now available. I love Vincent and Julia! I was super excited to get my copy! After reading Absolute Liability (my review) and Death Benefits (my review), I couldn't wait to dig into At Fault

When Julia and Vincent begin to investigate a stretch of road in Georgia that seems to be a hot spot of staged car accidents, they soon find a much larger, well organized ring that encompasses all sides of insurance fraud; medical, auto and legal. They tread carefully to find the leader of the organization. Unfortunately, someone has become suspicious of Dr. Keller, their source on the inside. Soon Keller finds himself threaten, and his family becomes endangered.

Meanwhile, Julia is still working on finding the man who raped her sister. She has a strong lead on the suspect, but if they find him and bring him to trial what kind of affect will that have on Julia’s sister? She is finally clean and sober, will that send her spiraling downward again? Plus Vincent has family problems of his own. He is dealing with his son Justin. And to add to all the excitement, Vincent and Julia are growing more and more attracted to one another! Will they finally give in to their desires?

I like the fact that both Julia and Vincent have problems with their families and can relate to one another - be there for each other.

Again, I found myself enjoying being in the head of one of the suspects as Becton slips in chapters from his point of view.

I truly enjoyed At Fault! I like the chemistry between Julia and Vincent. And the ending ...let me just say I can’t wait for the next book!!

4 out of 5 stars.

I was provided e-ARC of the book for my honest review.
