August TBR Read-a-thon!

The summer is quickly coming to an end, at least for me. School will begin mid August for us, so what a better time to catch up on all those books you wanted to get finished this summer and didn't! Nancy Kelley is hosting an August TBR Readathon! Come join us! You can find the rules and sign up here.

I have a few books for review that I'll be reading, plus I'm going to try to squeeze in a few that have been on my TBR list for a long time.

Here's a few from my TBR list (subject to change on a whim):

Edenbrooke by Juliannne Donaldson
Easy by Tammara Webber
Once Upon a Darkness by Aria Kane
Faking It by Cora Carmack
Echoes of Pemberley by Cynthia Ingram Hensley

Books I need to read for review (some I may get to before August):

Mr. Darcy's Promise by Jeanna Ellsworth

Atone by Jessica Grey
Lying to Meet You by Anna Garner

I hope you can join us!

  1. That's a great list, Candy--a mixture of genres, some pleasure reading and some review books. I look forward to hearing what you think of them. :)

    1. Thanks, Nancy! I've been trying to branch out a bit - mix it up! I don't know how much I'll get read, but this list should help keep me on track! Thanks for hosting this event!

  2. Ok, I did a list and lost the envelope I wrote it on. But guess what... I have a new envelope and a new list, and this time I'll make a shelf on Goodreads for it so I don't lose it! My list is far, far too big; it'd take me a few months to get through, so I'll just be planning to read some things from the list rather than all of it.

School here doesn't go back until September, so no extra reading time here, in fact I'll have less, but I always make some time to read so I should think I'll get some done :)

    1. Hi Ceri! Yay, for your new list! :) When school starts for us I'll be busier (homeschool). I'm thinking about taking a little break, especially at the beginning, to getting back into the groove of school. :/

    1. Hey Rebecca! I haven't read Edenbrooke yet!! Can you believe it! I've had a pretty steady flow of review books since last summer, and this summer the books I've read that weren't for review have been present day reads or a different genre.

I'm looking forward to reading both Atone and Lying to Meet you! Hmm..I don't think I'm familiar with Blackmoore. I'll have too look that one up. :) Happy Reading!

  5. I'm almost afraid to make myself a list! It'd probably have 47 books on it and then I'd feel like an epic fail for sure lol.

    1. Hi Monica! I have much more of a list than this!! Figured if I only listed a few it would be much more doable! Even with this shorter list I feel like I'm going to need that "Good Luck" Meredith wished me! ;)
