W... W... W... Wednesdays ~ Aug. 14, 2013

W... W... W... Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should be Reading. To play along, just answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you'll read next?

What am I currently reading? I'm currently between books right now.

What did I recently finish reading? Last night, I finished reading Easy by Tammara Webber. It was AMAZING!! It's the reason I didn't write this post last night. I couldn't stop reading it, and I can't stop thinking about it today! That. Good.

I finished Atone: A Fairytale by Jessica Grey. I loved this one, too!! It's a magical modern Beauty and the Beast retelling!

I also read Only a Heartbeat Away by P.O. Dixon. This novella is a Pride and Prejudice retelling. I really enjoyed this one too! Wow! It's been a great reading week!

What do I think I'll be reading next? Hmm...I have Echoes of Pemberley by Cynthia Ingram Hensley and The Viscount's Vow by Collette Cameron (This title is to be released in September) to read next.

What are you reading?

  1. I'm currently reading Vera Nazarian's Pride and Platypus. It's pretty amusing but I think it's going to be one of those rare books that I read slowly, a few chapters at a time, rather than devour it in 1 or 2 days. I may actually (gasp!) read more than 1 book at the same time!

The last book I read was Secrets of the Heart by Jillian Kent. It's a Christian regency and I enjoyed it. It turned out to be more action packed than I was expecting. Next up for me will be The Viscount's Vow. :D

    1. Hey Monica! I thought you might be reading The Viscount's Vow soon! I'm looking forward to it!

Oh, no! Two books at once! :o haha! I think it might be doable with a slow book. I haven't read Pride and Platypus yet. I do have it.

  2. Ooh you HAVE had a good week, some good reading in there! I have been reading Mansfield Park by the lovely Miss Jane Austen ready for the Book Rat group read. I'd only read it once, a long time ago and was wondering if I'd see it differently now. I haven't had much chance to read this week, but once I got into it, I began to really enjoy Mansfield Park even though so many of the characters are so dislikeable.

    1. Hi Ceri! Yes, I have!! But I'm starting to pay for it now...I'm so tired!! Too many late nights! Not only that, but Easy is one of those books that you don't sleep well during and after reading it. I keep thinking about it! So, a couple of late and restless nights are getting to me.

When does the group read start?

    2. I'm not sure. I wasn't sure how much time I'd have to read so thought I'd start it when I had chance.

  4. Hi Cheryl! ATONE is so good! I love the way Jessica Grey writes! You should check it out. It's the second book in the series, the first being, AWAKE: A FAIRYTALE. It's a modern retelling of Sleeping Beauty, with an interesting spin.

    Thanks for stopping by!
