W... W... W... Wednesdays ~ May 14, 2014

W... W... W... Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should be Reading. To play along, just answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you'll read next?

What am I currently reading?
I am currently reading Moral Hazard by Jennifer Becton. It's really good! Tension is high! How is Julia going to get out of the mess she's in? ;) It started out a bit slow, but I'm totally into it now. Hopefully, I'll have a review up soon.

What did I recently finish reading?
I finished reading Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. I loved it! I couldn't stop thinking about it. It stayed with me for a couple of days. My older daughter and I got into a little debate about it because she didn't like the ending, but I did! I was very satisfied. Just goes to show everyones different.

What do I think I'll read next? I plan on reading The Truth About Alice by Jennifer Mathieu. This looks like it might be an intense, emotional read. I requested it from NetGalley. We shall see!

What are you reading? I'd love to hear!

    1. Hi Chrissi! I started Alice this afternoon. It's good so far, in fact, I wish I could keep reading it, but I have to cook dinner. :/ Lol!

  3. Hi there Candy! I've been really busy at work this month which has slowed down my reading habits, but currently I'm reading 'The Second Chance' by Joana Starnes which features characters from both Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. Up next is some Shakespeare if I am brave enough! I promised myself that I'd try some this year. Happy reading!

    1. Hi Ceri! I've been able to get in a lot of reading lately (for me), which is odd because I've been busy trying to get grades together. How do you like The Second Chance so far? Which one of Shakespeare's stories are you thinking about reading? I've wanted to read some too. I loaded a story or two on my kindle a couple of years ago and never got around to reading them ...or maybe that was Dickens. :/ hmmm...

    2. I finished the Second Chance in the early hours of this morning (bad Ceri!) so I've been knackered all day, was worth it though :) I was planning on reading 'Much Ado About Nothing' mainly because I mentioned to my mother that I was thinking of reading some Shakespeare and she turned up with a copy for me to read! My mum is a retired English teacher, and she does exam marking, it was one of the texts that schools could choose this year so she has recently re-studied it, which has the advantage that I will have somebody to talk to about it who understands it far better than me!

I am with you on the Dickens, I feel like I should have read more of them but I've only ever read 'A Christmas Carol' which I love, and 'Great Expectations' which was also very good. But then I tried 'Hard Times' which was more like Hard work in my opinion, and I abandoned it!

    3. That's awesome, Ceri! Know wonder you write so well! :) It will be nice to be able to talk to her about "Much Ado About Nothing'. I have 'The Taming of the Shrew' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' on my kindle right now. And the Dickens I wanted to read is 'Little Dorrit', but it's so long! haha! I loved the movie with Matthew MacFadyen!

So glad to hear that Second Chance was so good it kept you up all night!! :D
