W... W... W... Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should be Reading. To play along, just answer the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you'll read next?
What did I recently finish reading? I finished reading Reached (Matched) by Ally Condie. Well, I thought it dragged, and 500 pages took a long time to finish. The second book was much more exciting.
What do I think I'll read next? I hope to read Edenbrooke: A Proper Romance byJulianne Donaldson. Looks like a great book. It's been on my TBR pile so long, I really want to read it.

What are you reading? I'd love to know!
Oh I have Edenbrooke I can't wait to read it :) I have just finished Nameless by Claire Kent aka Noelle Adams really enjoyed it and saw there were two other continuations so I am now reading Christening by Claire Kent and will follow with the last one called Incarnate. Look forward to reading your thoughts on Jane Austen's first love, Happy reading :)
ReplyDeleteHi Tamara! I know! Edenbrooke has been on my TBR pile for a while now. Last summer, I did a TBR reading challenge and it was on that list as well. I didn't get to it then either! I am determined to get to it this summer! I didn't want to read two regencies in a row, and I need to read JA's First Love in a timely manner. So, that won out this time.
DeleteHappy reading to you too! :)
Hi Candy! I am between books at the moment. I don't know whether to start the one you're reading or The Canterville Ghost by Oscar Wilde.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the ones you're starting Tamara, I'll be interested to know what you think of them.
Hi Ceri! The Canterville Ghost? Is this because you've been reading some classics this summer or because of the English Country House course? I got the The Sylph by Georgiana Cavendish because of class, and I really want to read The Mysteries of Udolpho! I got that a while back, but class has made me want to read it even more! And Shakespeare of course! I think I'm going to buy one of the No Fear Shakespeare books, and I'm thinking about taking that Shakespeare class. Oh, if only I had more time!!! Haha!
DeleteIt's because of the Future Learn class Candy, I think you can put the excerpts in context better if you've read the full work. Plus I love Oscar Wilde and I'd not heard of The Canterville Ghost. I quite fancy the Shakespeare course too, are we brave enough?! You may recall I read some Shakespeare earlier this year. The version I read had notes alongside the text and I'd really recommend a version like that, much less daunting.
DeleteYes, I do remember. You read Much Ado About Nothing, correct? I didn't remember the name of the version you had read though, but it seems similar to No Fear Shakespeare with the text on one side and a translation on the other. I don't think I could read it without some sort of help. Ooh, yes the Shakespeare course, are we brave enough is a good question alright! It's 2 more hours a week! But, I do think I'd like to.
DeleteIt sounds very similar to the book I read. I'd really recommend one with notes that are right there on the page, saves you having to flip back and forth in the book. I'd prefer to have help getting the most out of it too :)
