What are you Reading? Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!
Here's my list:
I'm currently reading Ashen Winter by Mike Mullin. This is the second book in the series, and I'm loving it! So far it's just as quick paced as the first.
I'm still reading A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin. I only have about 100 pages to go! Hopefully, I'll finish it soon. The story is so good, but it's very wordy. Sometimes I just want him to cut to the chase and get on with the story! Lol!
I also started an audiobook while I was driving back from my Christmas holiday called An Inconvenient Ward by Audrey Harrison.
I recently finished Devoted by Jennifer Mathieu. It was really good. I was a little afraid to read it because of some of my beliefs (Not that I believe in the oppression of women, I don't, but I know families like this - hopefully not to this extreme), but the story was well done. I really felt for Rachel and was rooting for her to break free - to be what she wants to be, not what she is told to be.
And I finished reading Ashfall by Mike Mullin. I loved it as you can tell since I've started the second in the series!
I also finished listening to Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry. This was a reread, so I already knew I loved the story, but it was the first time listening to the audiobook. The dual narration was fantastic!
What's next? I'm not sure at the moment! :)

So, tell me, what are you reading?
I feel you on A Clash of Kings. The tendency for wordiness in that genre is the reason I avoid it. I hate when I can skip pages in a book and still understand what it going on. I don't see the value added.
ReplyDeleteMy complaining aside, it looks like you had a great week Hope the rest of the year treats you just as well.
Hi, xxertz! You are so right! If I ever get through the series (or maybe even if I don't finish the series) I want to go through them again, but only read from the POV of one character; just their chapters. I think that would be fun.
DeleteI did have a great week! I'm still on break so I've picked up my reading game quite a bit! Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful week also!
You're so close with Clash of Kings! Good luck finishing it. That was as far as I made it in the series before I started the TV show, haha. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteHey, Sam! I know! So close! I'm determined to get through and start the next! :) Yeah, I've watch the series too. It's so good! That's what got me started reading the books. I want to see if they are any different from the HBO show, especially since the author hasn't even finished the series! Lol! Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading to you!
DeleteYay! Glad you enjoyed Ashfall. I just finished Sunrise the third book. Great series. Someone told me he's not going to end it there, but go a fourth book. Hope so.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Pushing the Limits, too. It was my favorite of that series. Neat that you're getting closer on your Clash of Thrones.
I'm reading The Crown Spire by Catherine Curzon right now.
Hey, Sophia Rose! Yes, I loved Ashfall! I can see why you started Sunrise so soon after finishing Ashen Winter! Ugh! I dislike cliffhangers! At least I have Sunrise to begin reading now! That's interesting that Mullin might be working on another! Well, I hope Sunrise ends with more details wrapped up, but I am enjoying the series and another book would be fantastic to read. :)
DeleteI spent yesterday at Universal Studio's. I loved Harry Potter World! It's was so fun wandering in the village and looking in the shops! Tasted some Butter Beer and went on an adventure on the Forbidden Journey ride!
I hope you enjoy The Crown Spire! Have a great week!
