I just returned from my vacation! I traveled across the country on the train, from the west coast to the east coast and back again. In between, I spent a week with family. I had a fantastic time! Plus, I was able to get a couple of books read!
What Are You Reading? Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!
Here's my list:
I'm currently reading Modern Love by Beau North. I'm not very far into it yet, but so far so good. :)
I recently finished The Ugly Stepsister by Aya Ling. This was a fun time-travel, fairy-tale retelling. I began listening to the audio book on my last road trip and finished reading it on the train.
Plus, I read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling. Always a good read!
What's next? I hope to get back into A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin.

So, tell me, what are you reading?
Lovely post, Candy! I hope you love Beau's new book. Glad to see you're enjoying it so far. I just finished Karen M Cox's new side-quel to 1932, The Journey Home, which was a great read! I also reread 1932 and loved it even more this time. I also loved Caitlin William's new book, When We Are Married. What a delight!
ReplyDeleteOutside of Austenesque fiction, I am currently obsessed with rereading E.M. Forster's A Room With a View. If you've never read it, I highly recommend it!
I hope you have a great month.
Hey, Claudine! Oh, I'm planning on reading 'The Journey Home', too! It's been so long since I've read '1932' I was thinking about reading it again as well. Just reading the blurb for 'When We Are Married' makes me so anxious! haha! Poor Jane! I'm glad you liked it. :) I haven't heard of 'A Room With a View" - sounds interesting!
DeleteThanks so much for stopping by! You have great month too!
I look forward to your thoughts on "The Journey Home." "1932" was such a wonderful reread, I highly recommend it again!
DeleteI also suggest you read "When We Are Married" because it's so well written and so original, IMO, that's its worth the nail biting! LOL!!
I hope you read "A Room With a View" and watch the movie one day. It's Forster's most beloved story for very good reasons! Happy Reading!!
I've been editing a lot lately so when I do read at night, it's usually not Austenesque. I think the latest read is a contemporary romance by Lauren Blakely titled "Mr O"... It's easy brain candy.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with all Caitlin said about "Modern Love", "The Journey Home" and "When We are Married"... All gorgeous reads.
Hello, Christina! Glad to hear you're editing! :) I understand about not wanting to read Austenesque novels while you're working. Nothing wrong with a little brain candy though! ;)
DeleteThanks for stopping by! Have a great week!
