W... W... W... Wednesdays ~ April 17, 2013

W... W... W... Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should be Reading. To play along, just answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you'll read next?

What am I currently reading?  I'm going to start reading A Fair Prospect: Disappointed Hopes by Cassandra Grafton, hopefully today. We will be having company this week, so I'm not sure how much reading I'll get to do.

What did I recently finish reading? I just finished reading Scorned Justice by Margaret Daley. I really enjoyed it! Wow! The twist at the end surprised me!

What do I think I'll be reading next? My plan is to read If I Fall by Kate Noble. I went to a book signing here in California. As I was wandering around the room, I came to Kate Noble's table. I noticed on the table these cards that had The Lizzie Bennet Diaries printed on them. It turns out Kate Noble (Kate Rorick) is one of the writers for The Lizzie Bennet Diaries! She also writes regency romance novels! So, of course, I had to buy a copy of one of her books and have her sign it. :)

What are you reading?

  1. Hi Candy! Yesterday I read The Duff Designated Ugly Fat Friend by Kody Keplinger, it's a YA (not that I am, but hey!), and I really enjoyed it. Picked it up just to read the first chapter and before I knew it I was 219 pages in and it was 2am! I finished it in the evening.

I am not sure what I will read next, will probably be a historical setting I think. I have added Kate Noble to my list of things to read, let us know what you think :-)

    1. Hi Ceri! I did read your review of The Duff on goodreads this morning! Sounds really good to me. I have to know, did it have a happy ending?

I'm looking forward to reading If I Fall, and I'll definitely let you know what I think!

    2. Yes it did. Was happy in the relationship sense but especially happy in the character development side - Bianca sorted her self-esteem issues out quite a lot by the end. I meant to put it in the review but I forgot :) If it hadn't have been happy I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it, the world has enough sadness without me needing to find it in fiction!

    3. I kinda figured it did, otherwise I don't think you would have LOVED it. Liked maybe. :) I just wanted to make sure. And I agree, I don't like sad books! I like to travel off to a very happy place while I'm reading! :D
