W... W... W... Wednesday ~ February 26, 2014

W... W... W... Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB of Should be Reading. To play along, just answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you'll read next?

What am I currently reading?  I'm currently reading Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles) by Marissa Meyer.  I just started; just a chapter or two into it. I was hoping it picked up where Cinder left off, but it's introducing Scarlet first.

What did I recently finish reading? I finished reading  Cinder: Book One of the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. I really loved this futuristic fairy tale! Where Cinder(ella) is a cyborg. Oh, this is another book that ends in a cliff hanger! Thank goodness I have the next!

I also finished listening to an audio book of Mansfield Park by Jane Austen. This was a reread that I have been slowly listening to whenever I got a chance. I liked it better this time around. I'm always sure Henry Crawford is truly reformed because of his love for Fanny. ;)

What do I think I'll read next? I'm not sure. I still want to read Insurgent (Divergent Series) by Veronica Roth. I would also like to read A Lasting Love Affair: Darcy and Elizabeth (A Pride and Prejudice Variation) by P.O. Dixon. I need to get my Darcy and Elizabeth fix! :D

    1. Thanks, Bibliobeth! I'm enjoying Scarlet too! Yes, you should make some time for Scarlet, but I know how easy it is for a book to get lost in your TBR pile! ;)

  2. Hey Candy! Cinder looks good, I nearly bought it myself a little while ago but I have so many to read first! I am currently reading Emma & Knightley by Rachel Billington, which I am finding a bit of a struggle to be honest, so I've had to read some other books alongside it. I just started The Silent Governess by Julie Klassen, which is good so far. I was also thinking of doing the Emma readalong with Indie Jane but not sure if I'll join in because I think they may discuss it in chat and the time difference makes it a bit awkward. Previous readalongs I've participated in had questions that you posted answers to. Happy reading till next time :)

    1. Hey Ceri! I read The Silent Governess a few years ago. I remember liking it. I have not read Emma and Knightley.

I would like to do the readalong too, but I know I would not keep up. I just finished Mansfield Park that I started with Indie Jane's last readalong! Lol! I remember when Indie Jane's use to post questions each week. I liked that better.

Thanks, Ceri! Happy reading to you too!

    1. Hi Cataluna! It's taken me a while to get started reading The Lunar Chronicles. At first, I couldn't wrap my head around the Sci-fi fairy-taleness of it. I didn't think I would like it. Ha! I was wrong! It's great! I'm glad I'm reading it! Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Hi Meredith! I wasn't planning on reviewing The Lunar Chronicles. They are just my fun reads! Something to read and just enjoy! But I might do a couple of mini reviews. Do you like Star Wars? This has a Star Wars feel to it. It's really an interesting combination of fairy tales and Sci-fi with androids, hover crafts, and space ships. The setting is of a futuristic Earth on the verge of war with the Lunars (moon people). It's very good!
