What are you Reading? ~ April 1, 2015

"What are you Reading?" is my weekly Wednesday meme! You are welcome to join me, just answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you'll be reading next?

What am I currently reading?  All the Rage by Courtney Summers. I got this one from Netgalley. It's an emotional story for sure! It has me anxious and at times confused, but I can't stop reading it! I have to know what happens. At the moment, I can't tell you whether I love it or hate it.

What did I recently finish reading?  I finished reading The Houseguest: A Pride and Prejudice Vagary by Elizabeth Adams. I loved this story! This what-if story has Georgiana inviting Elizabeth for a visit to London. Darcy is surprised to find her at Darcy House when he returns to London earlier than expected!

I also read, Swept Away (Trouble in Texas Book #1) by Mary Connealy. I was in the mood for a western! It was good.

What do I think I'll be reading next? I'm not sure. It's my Spring Break, and I'll read what I want! ;) I'll let you know next week!

  1. March was amazing for me in the writing department. Not so much in the reading department. I did read Mary Lydon Simonsen's short story yesterday. It took about 1/2 an hour from start to finish. It was the perfect appetizer size that I needed. I did read my daughter's book, Darcy's Ultimatum. Can a mother be any more proud? 10 days at #1. Jennifer is burning up the keyboard for her book 2 and I keep prodding her to not get distracted. However, with twins - she's distracted.

Oh good grief! I forgot. I read Pansy Cottage by Barbara Silkstone. Laughed until I snorted. What a hoot!

    1. Hi Joy! Ha! I'll have to look up Pansy Cottage! I totally forgot to add that I read Swept Away this week! I just added it! :)

Congratulations! 10 days at #1! That's fantastic! Twins! Yikes, that can be a huge distraction from doing anything! ;) I'm glad to hear you're writing as well! That's always good!

I picked up a copy of Mary's new short story yesterday too. I may have to read it some time today. My plan for today is to sew. Nothing special, it's been a while since I've sewn anything for my self, so I'm going to see what I can get done. ;)

  2. Hi Candy! The last thing I read was 'A Peculiar Connection' by Jan Hahn, which I really enjoyed. Next up is a contemporary romance, 'Reconciled for Easter' because it's Easter this weekend so why not?! I have loads of reading I want to get done this month, goodness knows whether I'll manage it. I hope you enjoy your sewing, I would have absolutely no clue how to sew, I wish I did :(

    1. Hi Ceri! I'm glad you enjoyed 'A Peculiar Connection'! I love Jan Hahn's books and look forward to reading it at some point. I'm not reading it for the blog tour though.
I have to get over to check out your Planned Reading for April post to see all your lovely books! :)
I never seem to have time to sew anymore. I wish I did! I feel so rusty at it now. It's one of my goals for this Spring Break - to sew something!! And look, half the day is gone and I haven't started yet. :/

  3. Candy and Ceri - I feel about sewing machines the way I do snakes and Brussels sprouts. So, I admire anyone who can eat those vegetables and act like they enjoy it, touch a reptile, and sit themselves in front of a machine and make something good come of it. I am NOT that woman!

    1. Joy, I love to sew! At least I used to...I would sew almost everyday. Not so much anymore. I'm just too busy! I was able to get a little done today. Yay! I'm working on a shirt for me. It's been a while since I've made anything for myself, and I wanted to make sure of the fit before I cut into the fabric I want to use. Today I finished sewing up the shirt in some cheap fabric I had (I cut it out weeks ago!). I did have to make some adjustments, but it's going to work just fine! I'll post a picture of the finished product, but don't hold your breath! It could take a while! ;)
