What Are You Reading? ~ Sept. 20, 2017

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Whoa! I didn't realize it was Wednesday! I almost forgot to post. Lol!

Here's my list:

I've just started These Dreams: A Pride & Prejudice Variation by Nicole Clarkston. After reading the excerpt from my stop on These Dreams Blog Tour (there's a giveaway if you're interested), I knew I had to read this story. So, I started reading it as soon as I got a copy! I'm enjoying it so far! :)

I'm happy to report I'm about 70% through A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin. It's very good, although quite long, and I'm not a fast reader.

Sadly, I didn't finish any books this week.

What's next? I'm thinking about Vassa in the Night by Sarah Porter.

  1. You are brave reading the GoT books - they are sooooo big!! I've avoided them for that reason. Maybe the next time I go on holiday with a long-haul flight - LOL! Hope you enjoy them though, I've heard they're worth it ;)

    Have a great week!

    1. Hey, Lipsyy! They are sooo long and wordy! Lol! But, yes, I'm enjoying them. I pick up details I missed in the show (as is usually the case). It's just so good. :)

      Thanks! You too!

  2. These Dreams really caught my eye, too. And yay for more progress on your doorstopper.

I'm listening to Don't Tell by Karen Rose and reading a review arc, Between You and Me by Lynn Turner.

    1. Hey, Sophia Rose! I'm enjoying 'These Dreams'! The angst starts right away - I just want read to see how it's all going to play out! But I didn't realize how long this book is. It's almost as long as 'A Storm of Swords'. It's shy about 200 pages. Lol! Out of the frying pan, and into the fire!

  3. Finished These Dreams last week - loved loved loved it!! Currently reading Mr Darcy's Pledge by Monica Fairview (needed a short one after These Dreams, but didn't realise it's a 3 part story and I only grabbed part one at the library!). Next on the list is He taught me to Hope by P.O Dixon - haven't read any of hers yet! It's all JAFF here at the moment! I'd love to read the GoT series, but as you say So little time, so much to read! And at the moment there's so much JAFF to read!!!

    1. Hello, Claire! Ha! That's how I felt taking a break from 'A Storm of Swords' to read 'These Dreams'! I still have to read 'Mr. Darcy's Pledge' - let me know what you think about it! I love PO Dixon's stories! I haven't read all of them, but I did read 'He Taught me to Hope'. It was really good. I hope you enjoy it! :)

    2. Mr Darcy's Pledge was a nice read, just wish I'd picked up parts 2 & 3 so I could keep reading!! It's really hard to follow such an intense and amazing book like These Dreams, I had to take a few days off reading after I'd finished it just to let it all soak in!!

    3. Oh, I can imagine! My daughter has been visiting over the weekend and I've been too busy to read, but I stayed up later than I should a couple of nights just to sneak in a few more pages of These Dreams! Haha! Not having long periods to sit down and read can be so hard! ;) Although, I loved spending time with my daughter, so that was good too. :)
