What Are You Reading? ~ March 7, 2018

What are you Reading?  Let me know what your current read is, what you recently finish reading, and what you plan on reading next!

Here's my list:

I'm currently reading Cake & Courtship by Mark Brownlow. This is the first P&P variation I've read from Mr. Bennet's perspective! I love his dry sense of humor.  -- I hope you can stop by tomorrow! It's my stop on the Cake & Courtship Blog Tour!

I recently finished All the Things I Know by Audrey Ryan. I thought Ryan did a great job putting P&P into a modern setting. 4 stars

I listened to a couple of audiobooks (I was on the road again!):

I found on the audible app a copy of Jaws by Peter Benchley, and since I like the movie, I thought I'd give the book a try. Of course, the book was different. There was more about the relationship between the chief, his wife... and the shark expert. :o I thought the book's ending was a little anti-climatic. In this case, I think the movie was much better. I'm really glad I listened to it, though! 3 stars

I also listened to Matter of Trust: The Shades of Pemberley by P.O. Dixon. It was good, and it sure helped the miles go by! 4 stars

What's next? I haven't thought that much ahead! ;)

  1. Oh nice! Traveling was good for your reading time. :) It's funny that you were listening to Jaws on the audiobook. There was a Jaws movie marathon this last weekend so I caught some of that.

Glad the modern take on P&P in All the Things was good. I am looking forward to reading Brownlow's version of Mr. Bennet, too.

I just finished Patricia Briggs' Burn Bright which was fantastic. Now I think its the Darkling Brides by Laura Anderson just in time to get me in the mood for St. Patrick's Day since its an Irish suspense. :)

    1. Hey, Sophia Rose! Yes, I got a couple good books in! Bonus, for those long lonely miles. ;) Ha, that is a fun coincidence! Jaws is a great movie! I don't think I've seen all the sequels, but I do like that one with Dennis Quaid.

Yes, All the Things was good! And I'm enjoying C&C, but I've been out the last two nights and today I have a headache...so not much reading going on here. :( Hopefully, tomorrow I'll feel better.

Wow! Glad you loved Burn Bright! I checked out your review. I haven't hear of these books before. You make them sound wonderful! I hope you enjoy Darkling Brides!

    1. Hey, Lipsyy! I had never thought about reading Jaws before either! If I hadn't found that free audio, I probably wouldn't have, but I'm glad I did! :)
